Babeau-Seguin acquires Vesta
NiXEN, together with the Babeau-Seguin Group’s management, announce the completion of Group’s second external growth by less than one year
Following the acquisition by NiXEN in December 2011 of a majority interest in Babeau-Seguin Group, France’s 5th ranking constructor of built-to-order single-design detached homes, the Group triumphed in a double win by less than one year.
Following the acquisition of Maisons et Jardins released early this year, based in Vichy in east-central France and generating sales of around €10 M, the Group completes the acquisition of Vesta, leading regional player in Meurthe-et-Moselle (East France) and showing over €11 M sales.
In a market with strong potential for consolidation, Vesta has a complementary profile with that of Babeau-Seguin Group notably a similar product-base towards first-time buyers, a commercial network that fits well with the Group’s platform in Moselle and Meurthe-et-Moselle, and an experienced and high-quality management team committed to pursuing the development of Vesta with the Group. With Vesta, the Group should generate a combined turnover of nearly €135 M.
Bruno Babeau, the Group’s CEO said: “I was convinced by the successful entrepreneurial path of the founder Patrice Courtier, that I well-knew notably for his local footprint excellence. This is a strategic external growth since it reinforces Group’s commercial domestic networking in Moselle et Meurthe-et-Moselle region. Following its integration into Babeau-Seguin Group and under the guidance of its current management team, Vesta should be well-positioned to consolidate its regional presence, while taking full advantage of best practice in terms of products, R&D and purchasing power offered by the Group“.
“Vesta is the second acquisition of the Group less than one year old”, says Pierre Rispoli, Managing Director of NiXEN, pointing out that “this new transaction is the result of an active and structured acquisition process, that would end-up with new external growth operations currently being examined”.
